Dear friends!

This year is a special year for our church — it marks 30 years since the day of its registration. For us it is not simply a date, but a whole story made up of many people, meetings, times of service, prayers, and events.

Over these years, the Vangaži City Baptist Church has had very many people alongside it — some were part of it for a long time, some went through a certain stage of life together with us, some served, fellowshipped, supported, or simply were with us in important moments. And everything we have experienced together is very dear to us.

Therefore, as part of the anniversary celebrations we would like to collect people’s living memories connected with our church. This will give us the opportunity to see, even if only a little, the picture that God is writing, to see His great plan, woven from many lives, destinies, and events.

We will be very happy if you can take part in our section “I remember how…” and record a short video memory.

The format is very simple:

  • start the video with the words: «I remember how…»

  • share 1–3 memories or events connected with the church that have remained in your heart

  • they can be big events or moments unnoticed by others — sometimes именно such memories turn out to be the dearest and most important

  • if you wish, you can also send a greeting, congratulations, or a wish to the church

  • also, you can record congratulations and wishes as a separate video.

We plan to use these videos during the celebration event so that together we can remember the path we have walked. If you give your permission, we will publish your video on our website:

We will be very happy to hear your voice and your memories. Because the history of the church — first of all — is people’s history, of those who were part of it, and God’s history that unites us.
